Green Hemp Smoothie Recipe

We are talking about self care at it's finest. Taking care of you! Physically, emotionally and mentally. Today I am sharing one of my all time favorite, easy recipes to start your day off right.


2 cups organic baby spinach

1 cup water (substitute with wine, as needed)

1 cup frozen organic fruit mix

1 frozen organic banana

top with hemp seeds, chia or flax seeds

Garnish with your favorite toppings!

Add the 2 cups spinach and water to the blender and blend to a solid green mix. Add frozen fruit and banana and blend again. Add more water, as needed, for the consistency you want in a smoothie. Pour into your favorite cup and top with hemp, chia or flax seeds.

Congratulations! You just drank 2 of the 2 - 3 cups daily vegetable intake recommended by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services based on a 1,600 calorie diet. You knocked out 1.5 of the 2 cups recommended daily fruit intake. If you have added hemp, chia or flax seeds, you have added healthy fat and fiber to your day.

Note: When buying the ingredients for your smoothie, organic produce is significantly more important in fruits and vegetables that you will eat the outer layer. (example: strawberries, spinach) Remember to wash all produce thoroughly before you begin. * The banana is best added frozen. You can substitute fresh fruits that are not frozen.
